What to expect during the consultation?
The success and safety of the procedure depend on your full participation during the consultation. You will be asked to share information about your health and lifestyle. Be ready to discuss why you want the surgery and what your expectations and desired results are. It is important for us to know about any allergies, medication you take, smoking, use of narcotic substances, and any previous consultations and operations.
Your doctor will assess your general state of health and take certain anatomical measurements and photographs for your medical file. You and your surgeon will discuss the individual features of your planned procedure and the expected results; the possible complications and how they can be corrected; and the type of anaesthesia to be used. Detailed information about the specifics of the procedure will be provided to you in the form of Informed Consent.
You will receive detailed instructions on the pre-operative laboratory tests and consultations you need to have; which medications to avoid and for how long; what your diet and daily routine should be the day before and on the morning of the operation; where the procedure will take place; whether you will need someone to accompany you; what to expect in the first hours after surgery; what hygiene and dietary regimen you will need to follow during the post-operative recovery period; and which specific medications will be prescribed to you.
During the consultation, and especially after the operation, you become part of the team, and on the basis of our professionalism and your wishes we build mutual trust with one common goal — achieving the most satisfying final result.
