Neck Lift

Procedure

Neck Lift

This is a surgical procedure to improve the visible signs of aging in the neck — loss of tone in the lower face, sagging skin beneath the chin and jaw, horizontal lines and vertical skin bands in the neck. A neck lift lifts the sagging skin, removes the excess, and largely smooths out wrinkles. Sculpting the neck sometimes requires additional procedures performed together with the lift — liposuction, excision of fat deposits, plication and/or resection of the underlying muscle structures (platysma, digastric muscles), and partial resection of ptotic submandibular salivary glands. The scars are hidden in skin folds behind the ears and in the hairline at the nape. Sometimes an incision is also needed in the fold beneath the chin. This operation can be combined with other types of aesthetic surgery.

Price

How much does the procedure cost

The price depends on

  • The surgical technique suited to your anatomy
  • The extent and complexity of the intervention
  • The type of anaesthesia and the length of surgery
  • The required hospital stay and follow-up check-ups

The final price is set in person during the consultation, after an examination and measurements — you then receive a written quote and a detailed plan. The clinic does not work with National Health Insurance Fund referrals.

A neck lift cannot fundamentally change your appearance and cannot stop the loosening of the neck tissues, but it can certainly slow it down significantly.

A neck lift can only be performed surgically; non-surgical rejuvenation methods do not achieve the same result and can only delay the time until it is needed. This is a highly individual procedure, and you should have it done for yourself, not to fulfil someone else's expectations. It is a good option for you if you are in good physical health and have a positive outlook together with realistic goals for improving your appearance.

There is no single "right" age for a neck lift. When performed at a younger age, the results tend to last longer, since tissue elasticity is greater. The timing for a neck lift ultimately depends on when the patient is psychologically and aesthetically ready for the procedure. The moment is highly individual and is defined by the first signs of aging that cannot be successfully addressed with minimally invasive treatments (wrinkle smoothing, fillers, mesotherapy, etc.). The operation gives longer-lasting results in patients in their early forties, but can also be performed around the age of 60 or even 70.
