Face Lift

Procedure

Face Lift

This is a surgical procedure to improve the visible signs of facial aging — hollowing of the midface, wrinkles on the lower eyelids and in front of the ears, folds running from the nose to the corners of the mouth, loss of tone in the lower face, and sagging skin beneath the chin and jaw. A mid- and lower-face lift lifts and repositions the deep soft tissues of the temples, cheekbones, cheeks, mouth, jawline and upper neck, resects certain muscles, corrects the underlying bone where needed, removes certain fat deposits and excess skin. This smooths sagging, wrinkles and folds in these areas and harmonises, sculpts and rejuvenates the face. The scars are hidden within the hairline and in the folds in front of and behind the ears. This operation can be combined with other types of aesthetic surgery.

Price

How much does the procedure cost

The price depends on

  • The surgical technique suited to your anatomy
  • The extent and complexity of the intervention
  • The type of anaesthesia and the length of surgery
  • The required hospital stay and follow-up check-ups

The final price is set in person during the consultation, after an examination and measurements — you then receive a written quote and a detailed plan. The clinic does not work with National Health Insurance Fund referrals.

A face lift cannot fundamentally change your appearance and cannot stop the aging process, but it can certainly slow it down significantly.

A face lift can only be performed surgically; non-surgical rejuvenation methods do not achieve the same result and can only delay the time until it is needed. This is a highly individual procedure, and you should have it done for yourself, not to fulfil someone else's expectations. It is a good option for you if you are in good physical health, have a positive outlook and realistic goals for improving your appearance.

There is no single "right" age for a face lift. When performed at a younger age, the results tend to last longer, since tissue elasticity is greater. Younger patients may also benefit from a gentler procedure such as a mini face lift, which involves smaller incisions and a shorter recovery. The timing for a face lift ultimately depends on when the patient is psychologically and aesthetically ready for the procedure. The moment is highly individual and is defined by the first signs of aging that cannot be successfully addressed with minimally invasive treatments (wrinkle smoothing, fillers, mesotherapy, etc.). The operation gives longer-lasting results in patients in their early forties, but can also be performed around the age of 70 or even 80. Even so, no one should wait too long to have a face lift, since skin becomes less elastic, wrinkles deepen, and it becomes harder to achieve a truly natural-looking result.
