Tuberous Breast Correction

Correction of tuberous breasts is a combined surgical procedure that reshapes the breast by releasing the constricting connective-tissue bands that cause the deformity. In most cases silicone implants are placed, some excess skin may be removed, and the areola diameter is reduced and repositioned higher — producing a more harmonious breast shape and/or increased volume. Most often the scars are placed in a circular pattern around the areola, and less often vertically through the lower half of the breast and/or in the fold beneath it.

As a combined procedure, correction of tuberous breasts compensates for the deformity in most cases and harmonises the shape of the breasts, but it cannot stop the natural sagging that occurs over time.

This intervention can only be performed surgically. It is a highly individual procedure — you should choose it for yourself, not to fulfil someone else's expectations. It is a good option for you if you are in good physical health and have a positive outlook together with realistic goals for improving your appearance.

There is no single "right" age for this procedure. Ultimately the timing depends on when the patient is psychologically and aesthetically ready for it and has turned 18.
