Belt Lipectomy

Belt lipectomy (circumferential body lift) is a surgical procedure that combines the removal of excess skin and subcutaneous fat from the lower abdomen with the removal of excess skin and fat from the hips, lower back and buttocks. The scar runs circumferentially and is entirely concealed by underwear.

This operation is not a surgical treatment for being overweight. Patients who are overweight and intend to lose weight should postpone any body-contouring surgery until they have reached and stably maintained their ideal body weight. In addition, the results of belt lipectomy can be negatively affected by a subsequent pregnancy and the resulting stretching of the abdominal wall.

It is a good option for you if you are in good physical health and have a positive outlook together with realistic goals for improving your appearance.

There is no single "right" age for abdominoplasty. Ultimately, the timing depends on when you are psychologically and aesthetically ready for the procedure.
