Breast Reduction

Procedure

Breast Reduction

Breast reduction is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin, subcutaneous tissue and glandular tissue from the breasts, producing a more harmonious shape and reducing their volume. In most cases the areola diameter is reduced and repositioned higher. The incisions run in a circular pattern around the areola, vertically down the lower half of the breast, and/or along the fold beneath the breast.

Price

How much does the procedure cost

The price depends on

  • The surgical technique suited to your anatomy
  • The extent and complexity of the intervention
  • The type of anaesthesia and the length of surgery
  • The required hospital stay and follow-up check-ups

The final price is set in person during the consultation, after an examination and measurements — you then receive a written quote and a detailed plan. The clinic does not work with National Health Insurance Fund referrals.

A breast lift is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and subcutaneous tissue from the breasts, producing a more harmonious shape and repositioning them higher. As a stand-alone procedure, breast reduction removes excess glandular volume and visually harmonises the breasts, but it cannot stop the natural sagging that occurs over the years, nor the growth of glandular tissue triggered by hormonal changes (medication, pregnancy, breastfeeding).

Breast reduction can only be performed surgically. It is a highly individual procedure — you should choose it for yourself, not to fulfil someone else's expectations. It is a good option for you if you are in good physical health and have a positive outlook together with realistic goals for improving your appearance.

There is no single "right" age for breast reduction. Ultimately the timing depends on when the patient is psychologically and aesthetically ready for the procedure, and she must be at least 18 years old.
