Chin Augmentation with Implant

Procedure

Chin Augmentation with Implant

Chin augmentation with an implant is a surgical procedure that harmonises the lower part of the face by normalising the shape and size of the chin. This is achieved using a biocompatible implant made of an inert material (silicone, Medpor, Mersilene) fixed in place with titanium screws. The incisions are placed inside the mouth or in the natural crease beneath the chin. This surgery can be combined with another type of aesthetic surgery — most often single-stage rhinoplasty to harmonise the facial profile (profileplasty).

Price

How much does the procedure cost

The price depends on

  • The surgical technique suited to your anatomy
  • The extent and complexity of the intervention
  • The type of anaesthesia and the length of surgery
  • The required hospital stay and follow-up check-ups

The final price is set in person during the consultation, after an examination and measurements — you then receive a written quote and a detailed plan. The clinic does not work with National Health Insurance Fund referrals.

This surgery may change your appearance to some degree, but performed on its own it will not drastically alter the overall proportions of your face.

This procedure can only be performed surgically, in cases where non-surgical methods for reshaping the chin cannot achieve the desired result. It is a highly individual procedure — you should choose it for yourself, not to fulfil someone else's expectations. It is a good option for you if you are in good physical health and have a positive outlook together with realistic goals for improving your appearance.

Genioplasty can be performed at any time once the lower jaw has fully formed anatomically, which is typically around 18–20 years of age.
