Brachioplasty

An arm lift is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and subcutaneous fat from the inner — and partly the front and back — surface of the upper arms through excision. The scars are placed in the armpit folds. In certain cases it may be necessary to excise excess skin and fat vertically; in that case the scar runs vertically along the inner surface of the upper arm and may reach as far as the elbow. An arm lift can be combined with other types of aesthetic surgery.

As a stand-alone procedure, it may not fully correct the contour of the arms in some cases, and can be combined with liposculpture or with an operation to increase muscle volume using silicone implants.

It can only be performed surgically, as non-surgical methods do not achieve the same result. This is a highly individual procedure, and you should have it done for yourself, not to fulfil someone else's expectations. It is a good option for you if you are in good physical health and have a positive outlook together with realistic goals for improving your appearance.

There is no single "right" age for brachioplasty. It is most often performed once the tissues have fully formed anatomically. Ultimately, the timing depends on when you are psychologically and aesthetically ready for the procedure.
