Brow Lift

This is a surgical procedure to improve and balance the position of the brows when they have dropped. A brow lift raises the brows, restoring the dynamic balance between the muscles that raise them and those that lower them, and it also smooths out some of the excess skin on the upper eyelids. The incisions are usually hidden within the hairline. The lifted tissues are fixed with sutures, adhesives, titanium screws into the underlying bone, or biocompatible resorbable fixation systems. It can be performed using a classic or an endoscopic technique. This operation can be combined with other types of aesthetic surgery.

A brow lift cannot fundamentally change your appearance and cannot permanently stop the descent of the soft tissues of the face and brow area, but it can certainly slow it down significantly and balance and harmonise the anatomical features of the upper third of the face for a long time.

A brow lift can only be performed surgically (classic or endoscopic); non-surgical rejuvenation methods do not achieve the same result and can only delay the time until it is needed. This is a highly individual procedure, and you should have it done for yourself, not to fulfil someone else's expectations. It is a good option for you if you are in good physical health and have a positive outlook together with realistic goals for improving your appearance.

There is no single "right" age for a brow lift. When performed at a younger age, the results tend to last longer, since tissue elasticity is greater. The timing for a brow lift ultimately depends on when the patient is psychologically and aesthetically ready for the procedure. The moment for this intervention is highly individual and is defined by a degree of brow descent that cannot be successfully addressed with non-invasive treatments (wrinkle smoothing, fillers, mesotherapy, etc.). A brow lift is most often performed in patients between 40 and 65 years of age, although in certain cases the lower limit may be around 25–30 and the upper limit around 70–75.
